I have a year of intensive experience creating wireframe mockups with Omnigraffle. I am fast and efficient at building out feature sets, and cutting the fat to create an intuitive user experience. While I am not a graphic designer myself, my skills help me communicate interactions to those developing the final PSD files.
Concept: Squidoo For URL Shortening
After launching imhang.in, I brainstormed other simple Twitter based applications. URL shortening services were starting to gain popularity, but no service offered a simple system for monetizing posted links. Because only an email address is needed to send money via Paypal’s API, I decided to create a streamlined service, allowing users to easily make money from the links they tweet. Since the links are presented in an iframe, an advertisement can be displayed above the content. This is similar to the DiggBar, but users have a monetary incentive to share links and retweet links posted by others. While I still like this concept, I decided to not go forward with development because of the abundance of competition and low barrier to entry.

Pikda - A Simple Video News Aggregator
Scraping premium video content from top news sites, Pikda is simple video news aggregator. Phillip Nelson and I wanted to make a destination news site with a continuous video stream. With Pikda, a user can skip stories they aren’t interested in or simply switch to another news category. All actions are tracked with cookies, and over time a user is presented with a customized content stream. There’s no need to register because all actions are tracked. While the backend of this service is complete, the time and money needed for front-end development put this project on hold indefinitely.

Concept: iPhone BeatBox
Leveraging the power of the iPhone platform, this is an interactive beatbox concept. Users can create and sample beats and record vocals on top of them. Sounds can be sampled and shared with users globally. In a world view, users can listen to the compositions of others.

Concept: iPhone Scavenger Hunt
iScavenger is a massive multiplayer game for people of all ages. While a mockup of an iPhone app is presented below, anyone with a camera phone can play via SMS messaging. Users are presented with a list and given points if they submit correct pictures. Because users have to verify another players photo before they submit one of their own, the game is self sustaining.
